CIRCA MMII series

Since the not-so-distant year of 2002, memories have become blurred, the places I visited, the events I witnessed, the stories told that over the years have merged with mine. Did I only pass through the squares and streets in my mind, what did I see through the window, was the path I chose the right one? Perhaps the paved street led to the expected, to tranquility, but something always called me to the corner I did not see, to the shadows behind the familiar, to the uncertainty. And it was not a decision, but fate – as in a story where the hero always follows the mystery, even when he knows that nothing more than a reflection of himself awaits him there.

The series “Circa MMII” is a labyrinth of memories, in which each image is a door to a time that cannot be confirmed, but also rejected. The characters, colors and shapes – not always clear, not always complete, but always present. Each composition is like a mirror, a cracked mirror, which refuses to reflect things as they are, but as they could be.
“Circa MMII” is a labyrinth in which time and space become entangled, where the boundary between the real and the imagined is only a line of sand, carried by the first breath of the wind. It is a testimony to a life that may have happened, may have been desired, or perhaps just a recorded video clip that remained glued to the screen.
